I live in Westchester, New York so which court would deal with a name change for a minor…..district court, high court, family court ect? And how do I change my child’s name?

He was never with the mother. He didnt know bout the child until he was one year old. He sarted seeing him immediately when she would le thim. He even started buying things and giving her money. But when he told her he dont wanna be with her, she stopped letting him see his son. she wont answer his calls or anything. HE WANTS TO SEE HIS SON, HE IS NOT A DEADBEAT HE IS JUS BEIN PUNISHED FOR ALL THE DEADBEATS. HE IS THE ONE WHO TOOK IT TO COURT IN THE FIRST PLACE, BUT HE IS BEIN PROTRAYED AS IF HE IS TRYIN TO GET OUT OF HIS RESPONSIBILITES. A LOT OF FATHERS R GETTIN SCREWED THESE DAYS!!!

So yeah my sister is severally hurt she has a broken leg and arm. a black eye and hurt lips are plump.My sister has asthma and they almost gave her an asthma atack Could we go to court? Can we sew them?

I don’t have any problem paying my child support. My problem is writing a letter to adjournment or postponed the case for 30 days. Because I’m job training in China
I need your opinion. I don’t have any clue how to finish the letter. I feel something is missing!!!!!

I’m writing to request that this hearing be postponed (or adjourned) for 30 days. The reason is during the period Nov 29, 2008 to January 1, 2009; I will be attending an International and Trade job training programme in Beijing.

We went to mediation and can not agree to a visitation schedule. My daughter is in Kindergarten now and her fahter lives an hour away. He currently has her on Wednesdays overnight and we changed it to every Friday night. I do not like this arrangement as it infringes on my quality time with her on the weekends. He and mediator called me via speaker phone when I called to cancel meeting because I had to pick up my daughter. They wanted to keep the Fridays as is I said I do not agree. I suggeasted to give up Wednesdays and have a Friday to Sunday and a dinner visit. Then mediator stated he does not agree even though it is reasonable. Is this grounds for an ex parte?? I do not want her to have a Wednesday overnight as it is not in her best interest to be woken up and taken to school an hour away!! not fair to a five year old and unsafe in rush hour traffic, when she could be home with me and be at school 10 minutes away!! Could our temporary order be used as an exparte?? It is revoked as of today and other order (Wednesdays ) are back in effect. I hope this was not confusing.
